He directed Whisky Romeo Zulú (2004), Fuerza Aérea Sociedad Anónima (2006), Bye Life (2008), and El Rati Horror Show (2010), a film submitted as evidence to the Supreme Court of Argentina, ultimately leading to Fernando Carrera’s acquittal. In 2014, he founded Innocence Project Argentina, the local chapter of the U.S.-based organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted individuals. That same year, he debuted his hit solo theater show, Flying is Human, Landing is Divine, which for 12 consecutive years has sold out Buenos Aires’ most prestigious venues (Teatro Maipo and Coliseo), as well as top theaters across Argentina’s major provinces. In Spain, it was performed at Madrid’s Teatro del Canal, plus Bilbao, Vigo, Avilés, Logroño, Murcia, Barcelona, and A Coruña; in Italy, it was staged at Milan’s Teatro Lirico.
In 2018, Piñeyro launched his restaurant Anchoíta, followed by the bakery Panadería Anchoíta (2020) and the cheese and wine bar Anchoíta Cava (2021).
